MX-13 / MX-11 - scope separated by application
PACCAR MX-13: DPF pressure, P3762, P3770 and P3794
P3762, P3770 and P3794 do not describe the same issue in the PACCAR MX-13 EPA2013 reference. One concerns voltage, another an inconsistent reading and another high differential pressure. This guide helps distinguish them and prepare your truck's information before requesting guidance.

DPF pressure codes on the MX-13 EPA2013
Scroll the table to see all columns.
| DTC / application | What it indicates | Data to identify |
|---|---|---|
| P3762 MX-13 EPA2013 | High voltage or short to supply in the DPF differential signal. [1] | Differential signal; do not confuse it with high physical pressure. |
| P3770 MX-13 EPA2013 | Erratic, intermittent or incorrect DPF outlet pressure reading. [1] | Pressure after the DPF; this is not the same measurement as differential pressure. |
| P3794 MX-13 EPA2013 | DPF differential pressure too high, least severe level. [1] | Exact OEM description and conditions when it appeared. |
Differential pressure and outlet pressure are different measurements
Sensor F837 in the documented application evaluates DPF differential pressure and pressure after the filter. Keep both labels in the report: a generic search for “DPF pressure” can mix up the two signals. Source 1.
What if my engine is a PACCAR MX-11?
This table does not verify MX-11 DTCs. For that engine, collect the VIN, engine number, emissions year, reporting module and complete description in DAVIE. PACCAR offers DAVIE4 and RMI documentation through MX Access; confirm the application there. Source 3.
For certain MX-13 EPA2013/2017 chassis, Kenworth documented sensor campaign E213A. It is a historical reference: check your VIN history; it does not prove inclusion or current coverage. Source 2.
What to save before asking for help
Prepare a report that identifies your vehicle and captures the fault context. If the equipment shows several codes, save the complete list; an isolated number can hide the information needed to select the procedure.
- Engine model, serial number and emissions generation.
- Complete code, description, module and active or inactive status.
- Name of each pressure parameter, value, unit and engine condition.
- Observed symptom and when it occurs: startup, idle or operation under load.
- Recent repairs and what changed after they were performed.
Do not compare two screenshots if the units or measurement conditions differ. This list helps prepare your inquiry; limits and tests come from the applicable service manual.
Frequently asked questions
Does P3762 mean high differential pressure?
In the cited MX-13 EPA2013 manual, it means high voltage or a short to supply. Do not confuse circuit status with high pressure.
Do P3770 and P3794 refer to the same reading?
In that application, P3770 concerns an inconsistent outlet pressure reading; P3794 concerns excessive differential pressure. Keep the complete report description.
Do these codes also apply to the MX-11?
This article does not establish that cross-reference. Confirm each DTC using the truck's identification and RMI documentation; do not extrapolate the MX-13 EPA2013 table.
